On behalf of a global manufacturer with an exceptional reputation, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Payroll & Systems Advisor to support the HR Payroll & Reporting Consultant and be an integral part of the UK HR Shared Service team within our client’s business.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the HR Payroll & Reporting Consultant with the preparation and processing of 7 UK full cycle monthly payrolls for 1,000 employees across 5 separate sites using the PeopleSoft Global Payroll system
  • Prioritising and managing workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and payroll deadlines adhered to on a monthly basis
  • Exporting monthly overtime, travel and sickness hours from the Autotime Time and Attendance System for importing into the payroll software
  • Updating the Darwin My Rewards Flexible Benefits software with any relevant payroll changes
  • Running reports from the Darwin Flexible Benefits system and updating the payroll software with any changes employees have made to their pension contributions or childcare vouchers
  • Uploading monthly Earnings files into the Darwin Flexible Benefits system to capture any new starters who need to be Auto-enrolled into the Aegon pension scheme
  • Reconciliation and validation of payroll data prior to transmission
  • Validating the monthly Real Time Information (“RTI”) and end of year data files prior to sending to HMRC using Avco third party software
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC statutory requirements at all times
  • Understand & process Forms P45 & New Starter Declarations & all associated payroll tasks such as manual payroll calculations along with statutory payment calculations for SSP, Company Sick Pay, SMP, Company Maternity Pay, SAP, SPP & SHPP
  • Preparation of various payroll and analysis reports for the Finance Departments at each site
  • Ordering the monthly childcare vouchers for each site using the EdenRed intranet site
  • Reconciliation and preparation of reports for payments to third party providers in respect of the Aegon Pension contributions, Barclays Share Incentive Plan deductions, Amicus Union subscriptions and Paycare subscriptions together with any AEO’s and Child Support deductions.
  • Uploading the monthly BACS payroll files to the PT-X BACSs software together with third party payments in a timely manner ready for approval by the HR Payroll & Reporting Consultant
  • Providing Finance and HR with any ad hoc payroll reports as required
  • Entering new starter details onto the Aegon pension plan and Barclays Share Incentive Plan intranet sites together with uploading the monthly deductions made from the payroll for processing
  • Supporting the HR Payroll & Reporting Consultant with basic and complex payroll queries
  • Active involvement in continuous improvement activities within payroll & HR in order to improve processes and best practice

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a payroll position involving all aspects of PAYE, RTI and Auto-enrolment together with HMRC procedures
  • Experience using Peoplesoft Global Payroll software within a medium sized business is desirable
  • Experience of uploading the monthly BACs payroll files, HMRC and third party provider payments
  • Experience of exporting data from a Time and Attendance system ideally Autotime or similar system
